I certainly like the idea but I don't know how feasible it really is.

The game-specific subforums do a good work with these. Many of the threads about unofficial patches are stickied by moderators, which I guess is as far as acknowledgement can come. Of course, this doesn't solve the problem if the original linls ever get broken.
