Finally, 2 years since it was announced, it is releasing soon on gog and Steam

Apparently it'll go for USD 15 which is a rather decent price IMO.
Footage of the PC ver.

Note that this is not the PSP game, it is one of the earlier PC releases. Apparently the original JP ver. took a long time to get it to work right on current OS hence the delay.

Hopefully the artwork can be replaced with the PSP ones as some of the old art is very...outdated.

That's great news. I only briefly played the game on my PSP, but I'd welcome the chance to play the whole thing on my PC. It did seem to be pretty good.

Great to hear. Hopefully the sequels to it will come shortly.

I've seen gameplay footage and it looks like a really interesting survival horror.

That would be an insult to the term 'corpse'. :D

Can't say that this one looks scary at all.
I do NOT have the money for all of these games I want. ._. Fuuuuucking hell.

..yes, I'm happy this finally comes to PC.
:)

Corpse Party because if everyone in the party dies they are a party of corpses.

I just hope they leave the graphics alone this time.

Mild spoiler (No really you don't want to look)

They censored it a bit when the school nurse character has her blouse unbuttoned and her eyes look wild in the Japanese PC edition. In the PSP edition, they have her blouse buttoned up, and her face doesn't look the same. I really prefer her look in the PC edition.

End of spoiler

Also, I think we get to see Naho's face when she is up to a shocking event that I will not relate. And, they left Ayumi's bad ending in the Science Lab, which is a lot like the one in the original Corpse Party.

I encourage anyone interested in the original Corpse Party, it even has a different story line, to check out Memories of Fear.com. It also has Corpse Party Remastered, the fan game Corpse Party Zero (which team GrindHouse decided could be considered canon), and several other Corpse Party fan made games and non Corpse Party games.
Seems they aren't gonna censor anything : http://techraptor.net/content/corpse-party-not-censored-versions
Good to know.

No censorship! Holy shit!

Shame that the PC only gets 4 of the extra chapters because they're 2 differents versions.

Here's some more details from the blog: http://xseedgames.tumblr.com/post/142874655105/corpse-party-pc-3ds-victims-memoirs-1

PC

Number of Extra Chapters: 4. One exclusive to this version of the game (but it’s a doozy!).

Main benefits of playing this version: Completely different Japanese voice track with different nuances, to such an extent that much of the game’s dialogue was re-edited to account for subtle shifts in mood and tone. The “Tooth” chapter from Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, fully recreated here in classic 2D adventure style; easily the biggest and most involved Extra Chapter in any Corpse Party game to date, thoroughly expanding upon its Book of Shadows counterpart and providing lots of new content both in terms of story and gameplay alike. The presence of a genuinely fast fast-forward feature, making ending collection a breeze. And last but not least… those beautiful, beautiful text boxes! Seriously, those have to be the swankiest, most mesmerizing text boxes I’ve ever seen.

Main benefits of playing another version instead:

- PSP: Vita and PSTV compatibility, parity with sequels.

- 3DS: Significantly more Extra Chapters, much higher-res character sprites, 3D support for art stills, omnipresent Touch Screen menu, message log feature.
