Stilton: Hilarious! But you need goggles!
No time for goggles !!! >:-|

Stilton: Have you got a good recipe? And how about the hot chocolate, do you make that yourself, too?
All you need is Cote d'Or 'black' belgian chocolate, and milk :) (and a pinch of cinnamon, if you like it)

AgentBirdnest: No, it's not even close to done. I've only written 13 pages. Probably about 6.7% complete :-p But of course you will read it. I promised you, didn't I? :-)
**Big creative and sober hug** ;-p
Jeeez you have high ambition, for a first novel :D.... ok... so, I wait for your first chapter in my mailing box ;-p

OK, tomorrow I will be attempting a peanut butter/hot chocolate home made yum combination, and whatever it turns out like, I shall be eating it :-)

And thank you for the recipe! :-)

Certainly. This is what I just made. I dunno how this translates to metric...
2/3 cup margarine or shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 and 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Cream the first three, then beat in egg/milk/vanilla, then mix in the rest. Roll into 1-inch balls, and flatten them with a fork (a crisscross pattern, though I doubt that really matters :-p). Bake on a baking sheet for 10-12 minutes at 375°F.

As for the hot chocolate... Owl helped me with that one. Just heat up a mug of milk, and melt a bar of Côte D'or chocolate into it :-) Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top, if that's your thing. (edit : I see she already told you :-))

Excellent, thank you :-)

I'm looking forward to this. I've made Christmas cakes and mince pies before, but for some reason I've only got 'bakey' during the end of year festive season. Time to remedy that, I think :-)

De rien ;-)
I don't bake too often, myself. Can't even remember if I've done it this year e__e I definitely need to do it more though. It was fun :-)
Okay, back finally. Yay for my internet being out for hours...

Hey there. =)

Not sure. Left a message for the tech guy, hopefully he'll be calling back soon since his lunch just ended. If not, I'll give it another shot before they close up shop for the day.

-laughs- I have enough hair as it is, even with a freshly shaved head and no beard. Will have to hope I don't contract that.

Nah, they're good cats. Also, quite frankly, I've woken up next to much worse. =)

Hello good people!

Allow me to vent my frustration in this forum.

So I decide to go see The Martian after class, taking advantage of a special promotion that prices cinema tickets at 3 bucks today. I leave at 7 from the univerisity (which is on the outskirts) hoping to catch the 8 o'clock viewing. One whole hour to get there I have time to spare.

There's a goddamned fucking soccer match so there's a not-quite-but-almost traffic jam to get in the city. The cops are out diverting traffic, I manage to get lost in unfamiliar streets. By the time I am where I want to be it's 8 already. I manage to see two parking spots, guarded by "parking attendants" (drunkards who stand next to an open spot waving their arm like some sort of mechanical scarecrow, then ask for a buck or two) which I like to avoid on principle so I say... fuck this, I'll leave the car in the parking lot of the mall in front of the cinema.

I manage to miss the first few minutes of the movie, no big deal I arrive while they're still discussing wether or not to ride the storm. I have a great time. Then I go back to get my car.

5.50 BUCKS FOR 2 GODDAMNED HOURS?!!

Makes me wish I hadn't even gone to the goddamn theater.

PS: To my american friends... a buck is an euro.

That's the kind of thing that makes me so glad I moved to the country. I couldn't stand city life again.

You have my commiserations...

j0ekerr:
So much hassle for such a short payoff. But at least you enjoyed the movie after all the frustration of just getting to the theater.
