A small pleasures moment! My eyes just bugged out at what appeared to be a dead pixel (I'm at home) but when I lightly brushed it, turned out to be a pixel perfect sized speck of dust. Woo hoo! ;)

On a side note, I think I'll power down and clean out my computer. Ever since I learned a trick about front of case fan mechanics, I realized I should probably do that again sooner rather than later.

CarrionCrow: Enjoy it. =) Even when a person is used to nothing but crap, a good day can still come out of the blue.
avatar
AgentBirdnest: Holy shit! That's it! I just realized why it is so suspicious.
I usually take my medication when I feel like crap. I haven't felt crappy today, so I have forgotten to take it.
Another few hours and I would be shaking. Thanks for your help :-)
Not a problem, happy to be able to assist, even if I had no clue that I was doing so. -laughs- =)

My cat likes to sleep on my PC, I know what that's like. XD The other day I found a tuft of donkey hair on the fan. While it probably came from off of my work gloves I have also considered that while I'm gone they might be up here playing Space Rangers.

Please, please please let this be true. We need a new internet meme with a tiny donkey sitting at the computer, hoof on the mouse and front door of the house behind him blown in by a blustering wind.

(I think I read in another thread that they are mini donkeys yes?).

Yeah, three of them, though I'm sure the forum is sick of hearing about them by now.
Ahhhhh, nothing says time to wake up like a nice big cup full of the once hot but now ice frigging cold coffee that you poured last night before essentially falling over.
It wakes you up, but for an entirely different reason.

I doubt it :)

Um I can't speak for everyone but heck no. Forum could always use more donkey talk. Most miniature animals are quirky, rude and a pain in the ass - which means they are incredibly entertaining. I HATE miniature horses but man are they the cause of many great stories.

I actually like iced coffee. Ice cold previously hot coffee, however is NOT the same thing ;)

Yeah, definitely not. Iced coffee usually tastes good, for one thing. -laughs-
Good afternoon my friends, how are you you all doing?

An update for CC on Soulstorm.

So I got tired, and frustrated from all my troops being squashed with prejudice and decided to play with marines. At which point I began curb-stomping everyone else.

I also started yawning. I've played this before, and it was better made. I have no interest in this campaign, no motivation to keep playing. And every single word the narrator says could be glazed and served for dinner. After which you'd be rushed to the hospital for food poisoning.

If you want to be a BIG HAM, then you SHOULD LEARN FROM THE BEST

Good evening. =)

I can see why you'd get tired of getting killed. There were a couple times fighting Chaos during the last of the pyro nun run that I just said to hell with it and forfeited some battles.

Course, Chaos had nine honor guard despite only having two territories and the fact that I'd already ventilated said honor guard twice before, only to have the enemy AI keep on retaining them like nothing had happened.

Stupid piece of shit game....

And yeah, Marines are pretty much the perennially broken faction. The only thing that even comes close to being a weakness is that they start out more slowly due to more expensive unit and building costs, but that's about it.
When you can make your basic troops either kick-ass infantry killers or kick-ass vehicle destroyers, it's a good sign that the power level's screwed up. And that's not even factoring Terminators with assault cannons into the equation.

And yes, it's as if the narrator and the voice actors had a running bet to see who could do the most horrendous job and still manage to get paid for it. I'd say that they tied, and everyone who plays the game with the sound on loses.

Right now, bouncing between Tau, Imperial Guard, Necron and Dark Eldar runs, since none of them can keep my attention long enough to make serious progress with a single group.

Masochism is an eponym — a word named for a person. Leopold von Sacher-Masoch was an Austrian writer in the nineteenth century who described the gratification he got from his own pain and humiliation. There are many self-proclaimed masochists out there today — and, one would have to imagine, at least as many sadists, those who enjoy inflicting pain on others (from the name of the Marquis de Sade). But these days you're most likely to hear the word used jokingly by someone who doesn't understand another's motivations for doing something painful or difficult: "You're still building that stone wall? What are you, some kind of masochist?"
Just popping in to say hi! We're still setting in to having my father-in-law home again, but it's a good feeling.

Of course, it also means I'm too unfocused to actually do what I should be doing right now, which is working. I'm considering picking up FFVII for a bit, if only because I know the early parts of it by heart and so can play while not having to concentrate terribly much on it.

Can someone tell me: If I've never played the Avernum games, but own the collection... would it be a good thing or a bad thing to pick up the remake and play it instead of the original (well, first remake?) of the first one?

Good morning. =)

Can't say what your preference would be, but my intention is to run through that series chronologically. From what I've read there's quite a bit of updating, additional content and what-not in the remake, so I figure that by the time I've run through the rest of the collection from them, I'll be ready to head to the latest offering, even if some of it is rehashed.
