Just read through the "My Account" changes... While some of the changes are definitely welcome, a few others upset me a bit... Galaxy is changing things. I wonder if they have any plans for the forums? Scrap them entirely in favor of something new?

I may have to leave this thread to complain :-p

penumbren: As always, GOG releases things after we spend money on food and other important things. :P

Has anyone else had the oddity of starting up Star Trek: 25th Anniversary and having it freeze? I haven't tried it again yet, but when I started it up last night, it loaded fine, and the voices/sound effects were great, but it froze (visually) on the first shot of not-Orion-at-all until I put it in windowed mode, and then it froze again on another frame. Very odd. Running it windowed is not my first choice, but if it comes down to it, I'd rather do that than have it not run at all.

ddickinson: Good morning (I think it's still morning where you are?)!

How are you, I hope you are doing well?

Which games caught your eye that you were unable to get due to GOG's expert timing?

*big hug*

avatar
CarrionCrow: Good evening. =)

I'd say something about passing you a towel, but with a downpour it wouldn't do much good for how wet you are.
avatar
ddickinson: Yeah, it would be a little pointless, especially as it is showing no signs of letting up. :-)

How are you, have you had a nice day?

avatar
Soccorro: nope :(
avatar
ddickinson: Sorry to hear that. *big comforting hug*

Do you have anything nice planned for the weekend?
I planned nothing so far :/
Back from my camping trip! How's everyone doing?

*offers some reheated Folger's camper coffee and a pot of fresh Dark Roast coffee*
Hey everyone, are you all doing well?

I had a nice day with my grandmother, but unfortunately I am suffering from a nasty headache right now. :P

Here take this. *passes Agent a ball of string*

Tie one end to the thread, and another to your waist, that way you can find your way back through all the other threads, just in case you get lost while exploring the general forum. :-)

Not even some online multi-player games?
Welcome back! Did you have a nice time?

Hello! Welcome to the conversation thread. There are not many rules, just make sure you are polite and... Oh! It's you, Fearful, I almost did not recognise you. I though you were one of those outsiders coming to visit. :-)

I am glad to hear you had a nice day with your grandmother. I can relate to you nasty headache, I have had one all afternoon, as well as feeling like I am going to be sick.

Good... whatever time of day it is for you? ;) Yes, it's still morning here, as it's not quite 11:30 a.m.

I'm doing pretty well. I'm overcoming annoyance with the rude roommate by playing loud bouncy music, which makes me happy. We're also planning on working on our project website later today after the husband gets home from work, as he has a radio interview about it tomorrow (!). Kind of scary, since we're still in the "highly theoretical" phase. But who knows? Maybe it'll all work out wonderfully!

..... *suspicious look* I can't claim innocence, since I did drop a random post in the GOG gifting thread, but still. :P I'm eyeing ST: Judgment Rites and Black Mirror 3; I picked up ST:25th with absolutely the last of the spare cash for the week, but I suspect that once I get it working right, I'll play straight through, so the sequel looks very enticing. Also, Black Mirror 3, but that's a combination of "must have ALL the series!" and "ooh, great price!" more than any thought of playing it soon, since I haven't yet touched the first two. I have to be in a certain mood for horror-related stuff, and the older I get, the rarer that mood is. But they look like such fun....

*big hugs back* I'm assuming you're dry now? lol. I'll take a hug even if not, though. It poured all this morning here, too, but the sun is out now. :( I love rain, and it was soooo hard to get up when it was all nice and cool with the window open and the sound of heavy rain, and cuddled up under warm blankets.... the cats all gave me betrayed looks when I finally got up to get dressed and take the husband to work, as he didn't want to walk in the rain. (I don't blame him.)

Ouch. *winces in sympathy* I'm particularly headache-prone, so I sympathize deeply. Here's hoping that it goes away without too much complaint. Personally, caffeine is one of the few things that will touch my bad headaches. I usually end taking Excedrin and hoping. Hot tea can help, too, depending on the type of headache. Everyone's headache cures are different, but I do hope you have one that's dependable and accessible!

And more sympathetic winces! Those suck. *comforting hugs* I won't repeat everything I just wrote for Fearful, but I hope you also have something effective close by!

Oh you. :P Maybe I should change back to my original Jade Empire avatar. :P

Yeah, same here. I had to take a bus trip of an hour back and I felt just about ready to puke for most of it. The weather's been a bit odd though, so it might have something to do with that. Despite the headache it was good to see my grandmother again. :)

What is your project for, if you don't mind me asking? It sounds interesting, especially with their being radio interviews.

If you give me a moment, you shall find a nice surprise in your PM. :-)

I am still soaking wet (I am taking a quick break in a barn while I finish my lunch). But you are welcome to a big wet hug, at least most of the mud has washed away now. You are making me so jealous of the nice warm bed. I am working 18+ hours a day at the moment and all I want is to get home, get a hot bath, and cuddle up with my partner in our nice warm bed and get some much needed rest. But sadly I still have a few more hours to go.

Yeah, at the moment mine are mostly related to my neck injury. I overtaxed my neck at the start of the week and I did a pretty intense yoga workout yesterday which has temporarily worsened the situation. I think that might factor into my headache. :P Yep, tea works pretty well on my headaches, so I think I'll have a nice cup. Normally I refrain from using painkillers but this headache is so shitty I've just taken two. :P

Headaches suck, don't they? :P

I believe that is the avatar you had when I first started chatting with you, so that would be fine by me, but you need permission form Moon first. :-)

Mine is due to being very tired and very exhausted. These last few weeks or long and hard days are starting to take their toll.

How are you liking the Nordic sale, see anything that catches your eye?

Yes, thanks for asking. Camping is fun, but it's always good to be back ;)

Oh, and to everyone: sorry for not doing my Conversational FFA Thread Song of the Day stuff while I was gone. I can start it back up right now. :D

BillyMaysFan59: Folger's camper coffee
I used Folgers for years while backpacking (freeze-dried great for weight savings), but my trips were totally transformed by SBUX Via. More expensive of course, but compromising on coffee isn't to be taken lightly. :)

Hope everyone here is well! Hope the anti-Galaxy folks are hanging in there. Grave New World out there. :)
