Hell's bells.

The Church in the Darkness™ is coming soon DRM-free.

It started as a way out. A different path, away from the corruption and decay spreading across the US like a disease. But here in the jungles of South America, whispers of the cult's wrongdoings are getting stronger. Play your own way as you infiltrate the compound, interact with other members, discover clues, and navigate a constantly shifting narrative using stealth and guile.

direspirefirewire: But why the top down perspective?
I would assume the top-down-perspective makes sneaking around a little easier than a first-person-perspective or a third-person-perspective would be.
The same reason games like the Commandos series, the Desperados series or Shadow Tactics use it.
From the same man who helmed The Suffering and The Suffering: Ties That Bind - Richard Rouse III. The premise is interesting and the gameplay looks compelling, but knowing who is behind it sold me completely.
‘︿’ not my cup of tea, but for those who like games like this i guess it will be cool....
anyway i saw more new releases so i will check em all out...

Seems its hard to make old games work under win 10, that might explain why the number og old games working on win 10 are so little .... i do hope they manage to make every old game we have on win 7/8 to work on win 10 aswell cause sooner or later the old pc will be too old to use, and a new one has to be bought and running win 10.
Anyway 75% of latest new games are not my cup of tea ‘︿’

Breja: I believe the game is actually about fighting the cult, a sort of stealth-tactical game, but I might be wrong.

tinyE: Oh, so you play the part of Leo Ryan?
If Leo Ryan was pretending to be a cultist then maybe.

Themken: Sorry but is the title a typo? Not meant to be: 'The Church is the Darkness'?
Is that a dig at religion I smell? o.0

(Just curious)

At some particular churches and cults, sure. Some light-hearted suitable music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35K6vQRt67g

Eh, you're right on the televangelists/cults/etc.....but some religious are kind folk(from what i've experienced).

Here's the clip for US people, btw, as the clip you posted in blocked in the US for some reason:
