Crypt Custodian is a charming metroidvania about cleaning up the afterlife – and it’s coming soon on GOG!

Play as Pluto - a mischievous cat who has died, and is sentenced to be the afterworld's janitor... FOREVER! Hang out with other doomed ghosts, battle beasts, and explore a vastly expansive landscape.

Wishlist it now!

GOG.com: Coming soon: Crypt Custodian
Scratching its way into the forum.
Did someone get paid to do a really bad copy edit? That description is rather bad. Especially seeing as it looks like something in the vein of Hyper Light Drifter or Risk of Rain rather than anything that would suggest custodial duties.
Pluto? That name is reserved for a certain dog. Stop this identity theft!
No wonder that this cat was sentenced to janitor duty in the afterworld.

I think the idea is that it's a pun on Charon being the ferryman; which is coincidentally the name of Pluto's moon.
Not wishlisted as I don't really play metroidvanias. It looks cute and fun for people that like those.
Well, it looks interesting enough for the WL. At least it's not another rogue-like :)
Holy crap it's possible to make a Metroidvania that doesn't look like pixelated crap?!?!?!

Might check this out - but seriously it's nice to see somebody take a stab at the genre and give it a cutesy yet stylishly functional aesthetic!

You don't know how many times I've wanted to try this genre because I love the idea of the gameplay loop only to look through the same usual suspects and get turned off by the fact that they look like 35 year old hot garbage.

I'm as nostalgic as the next and *I guess* I can appreciate a well done retro look but man is it a genre wide turn off

Have you played Dust: An Elysian Tail? :)
The constant look to camera as he runs is quite funny.
