Why does this smell like handphone game?

Yeah, the game has been available on Google P lay for years. Older reviews complained about micro-transactions and premium currency (diamonds) to buy new farm buildings and upgrades. Later reviews mention in-game advertising.
I assume (=hope) that the paid PC version is actually a "full" version without such crap. Also, the game would basically need a complete re-balancing to get rid to the mobile grind. Or perhaps, that's exactly what people are looking for in these kinds of games? Harvest another 200 carrots to reach level 45.

Another week of "quality" releases I see...
