So I mistakenly sent a game to my basket the other day. I remember posts from a previous sale where people did this and were told "if left there it goes away after a while". Which I figured to be about 24hrs or less.

Mine has been sat there for about a week. I asked support and they said it would go away after a while. That was a couple of days ago.

My question is, if I decide to buy another game, go to checkout, with both games there can I choose to buy only the one I want or am I stuck with both until the one I don't want goes away.

Can't you just remove it from your basket? There is a bug that prevents you from doing so within the forum, but if you try it from the main page, you should be able to remove it.

(Facepalm). I was looking for a "cancel" type button. After your post I tried again, still no cancel button, but I hovered over the game picture and there was a "remove" waiting to be clicked. Done. Thank you Grargar.

Something else I have learned.
+1 and Happy Christmas.

That was mostly only a thing during one of the last Insomnia sales, where taking something to the checkout "claimed" it for a while, preserving the sale price even for a while after the game was replaced in the sale by the next game. Also, that was to do with the game staying in one's pending orders, not with it remaining in the cart.

No problem and Merry Christmas to you, too.
