HypersomniacLive: Did GOG do away with them for good? I don't think that any of them tried to update their avatars again.
From what i see, GoG only supports Jpeg, so any images that don't conform are converted...

Well, they acknowledged breaking the avatars, and were working on fixing things. We can only hope that this means that was supported before will be again, but it's GOG we're talking about, so...

Gimli a break on these LotR jokes.

Looks like it changed again; I had success with Account > Orders & Settings > Account and Locale > 'Avatar' [Change].

As in, now it actually makes sense! But too bad the link doesn't take you straight to that page.

I pick a jpeg as my avatar, the preview appears in the circle. What next? There's no confirmation in that window and when I click outside the avatar doesn't change.

There is currently a problem with new avatars not showing up in the forums the last few days. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait till the changes apply.

Looks like this is STILL broken. I added an avatar as described by rimbo6o and have the same problem - the new avatar shows in my account profile but NOT in any of my forum posts.

When this error "goes" again - will I need to upload my avatar again or will it appear in the forums without further action on my part.

LOL - just noticed that my avatar appears when my post is quoted in a reply but does NOT show against each post I make, i.e. the large avatar.

You'll just have to wait, but it will take a while (some people have been unlucky enough to wait for 3 weeks before the correct avatar was shown).

Yup. Your new avatar also appears in your Account/Locale settings and in your chat.
