If it's Survival Horror like the recent HD port of RE1, awesome, I'm interested. Otherwise, fuck it.

snowkatt: the ps2 and wii fragile ?
since when ?

the original ps 1 was fragile but most of these machines are fairly robust

darthspudius: They are anything but fragile. My wii has taken more abuse by sheer accident then most things in my house and still works wonderfully. It is by design a fantastic little machine.

Roxolani: I hope this remake won't ruin my good memories of original RE2. It will be very good if they use REmake formula.
avatar
darthspudius: If you're that concerned you just shouldn't play it. They're remaking it, it's not going to be the original game.
Well, I just want same atmosphere not a 100% similar to original game. It's obvious that Capcom guys want to attract new fans and other gamers not just only old ones. So I guess they will create something that it will satisfy both groups. I hope it will be as good as the original RE2, or even better. :)
And now there finally sheds a promising light for a Resident Evil Outbreak return.... Be it a File 3, a compilation or REmake, Biohazard Outbreak was so advanced for its era (being it on a console).

Ok... Once that is done (and if it turns out to be good) I'll patiently wait for a Dino Crisis remake :) RE2 is my favorite RE game... but I'll take dinosaurs over "zombies" any day :P
This is fucking awesome, and gives me hope that one day they'll consider an Onimusha Re-Release on the PC.

Dino Crisis was a great game, it had a PC release too

They already exist on PC (and the first on DC too) but that would be awesome! ^^ You say Dino Crisis 3? What's that!? Better try Dino Stalker (Gun Survivor 3: Dino Crisis)! >:D

To be honest, all the elements to a great remake is in Resident Evil 6. Unfortunately most people are too biased or unwilling to see the quality in the game. In specific places that game has a great dark urban look that would look and play excellent for Resident Evil 2. Sure scrap some of the arcade stuff but atleast you'd have good controls, smooth good looking graphics and some more upto date design choices which would provide people with a more smoother gaming experience.

Though some die hard fan is now going to say, "Resident Evil 6... pile of shit!"

Imagine if they didn't change the game style for that game, we'd be sitting moaning that Resident Evil is dry and stale because it's been done to death. Wait, I remember people saying that after Code Veronica! :D

or it could have stayed dead
cause quite frankly what it turned in to isnt much of an improvement

Instead, we have people complaining that the series has been ruined. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. :D

Capcom really can't win really haha.
It wasn't Resident Evil 4 that did the series in, as far as I can tell it was quite well recieved and I thought it was great. It's the survival horror slowly getting replaced with third person shooter.

Anyway, that's just my opinion.
I have no interest in rebooted sequels. When they get around to remaking remakes, let me know.
