Hello!
I've download the Blackwell Bundle from GOG's free games the other day. I've install and run the Direct X 2010. Every time I try to play the first game of the series, it pops up a window and it says;

An error has occured. Please contact the game author for support,as this is likely to be a scripting error and not a bug in AGS.
(ACI version 3.21.1115)
in "Achievements.asc",line 134
from "Achievements.asc",line 192
from "GlobalScript.asc",line 63

Error: Error running function "game_start":
Error: Null pointer referenced

Any suggestions?

Where did you download the Blackwell Bundle again? And what pop's up?

edit:
Oh, you've just edited your post. I see..

Probably at G2A. ;)

I don't really want to make assumptions/accusations like an asshole but the OP said free so if we're making assumptions wouldn't a better one be piracy? G2A still costs some amount of money, unless i'm mistaken? There's also the possibility of the OP getting the game free from a giveaway. I've seen Twitch streamers & game websites run Gleam giveaways for GOG codes that weren't really advertised anywhere and i had just gotten lucky by noticing them. Or maybe they got it from one of the giveaway threads here on GOG?

It was just a bad joke, that's all. I'm not making any assumptions. :)

Explaining how you got the games for free would be an interesting thing to do. I for one am pretty curious.

One of the recent customer giveaways had Blackwell Bundle as a freebee. I think the poster is simply confused.

I'll find it in a second.

edit: Guess not. This was the one I was thinking of and the poster is not listed:

reedit: Maybe this one:

Also just want to make sure i make it clear i wasn't calling you an asshole or anything i was talking about me making the assumption that it might have been piracy. I apologize if it came off like that.

Edit: OP's profile shows zero games so maybe it's not a bad assumption after all.

I say check your installer is in good order, and then uninstall and reinstall it; Possibly corrupted install (bad sector?)

Lastly you didn't say what OS you were using. I've seen some games barf if the directory location is too long, or if you aren't running in specific settings like XP SP3... possibly 256 colors.
I wonder if the OP has started the game using Galaxy or if he used the offline installer instead. "Achievements" error might point to Galaxy. However the games all have ingame achievements as well.
Installing the game outside of Program Files directory may help.
I've found the solution following clues in the edited op's post..
Two guys looking at some brown slime on a sidewalk.
- It's a chocolate! - says one.
- Nah, it must be shit - second replied.
- Definitely chocolate.
- I don't think so.
Then first guy took a bit of the brown slime on his finger an tasted.
- And? What is it?
- I was right, it's a chocolate, but was eaten once..
