There is no Anniversary Party without a contest and a challenge! Imagine a double vinyl album with the music of Heroes of Might Magic III, released as a double 12-inch vinyl disc (180-gram LP) packed in a gatefold jacket with antistatic sleeves. Each side of the cover presents stunning artwork by Magdalena Katanska, printed in high quality with several embellished elements. Picturesque enough to join our contest?

We've teamed up with Gamemusic for this challenge! All you have to do is to recommend a coop game to play during our Anniversary Party.

The best answer will win a limited HoMM III original soundtrack vinyl, the Heroes Pack with 5 HoMM games, and the Game Changers Pack including Prey, No Man's Sky, Disco Elysium and Beautiful Desolation.

Submit your entries before October 8th, 3 PM UTC. Terms and conditions apply. You can check them in the first comment on the forum.
First off, just about any game can be a co-op game depending on how you play it ;).

Now for the definition of co-op? As fun as blasting each other in old computer labs with a disk labeled Doom, I'm guessing that's not quite cooperative so much as competitive XD.

Ditto all the Worms games not being exactly cooperative, although these are a blast. Simple to get into regardless of skill level and fun for kids and adults alike. Screams of KAMIKAZE! from a five year old eliciting raucous laughter, weeks after a late night holiday play session, is just pure gold.

So I'm going to have to go with any of the Lego games, particularly the Star Wars trilogies since this was my first foray into them. The little ones screaming with glee and delight while mashing the controllers, as it evoked entirely too much childhood nostalgia in this old hand is just Grinch's heart swelling and bursting the meter levels for me.
I can recommend the classic COD Modern Warfare games and Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition. In the GOG catalog, Trine, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime and Terraria are great options. Thank you for the contest.
What about a nice coop game in unreal gold? Ever played that? Well, we still do, lol, sharing the nice view of Nyleve Falls and its beautiful hypnotizing background music and killing some skaarij monsters together while voice chatting for about what? 20 years already? Cheers
I want to see one of my favourite classics, SWAT 4 brought to the spotlight again. A classic that still brightens up the room with multiple custom maps!
A golden gem that can only be found on GOG's classic collection that provides some FPS fun to 4 players
Thank you GOG for keeping these antique gems available or they would be lost forever.
It was one of the games that brought me back to GOG after taking a hiatus.
Not overly competitive like CSGO or Fortnite, but gives players a freedom to fool around and have fun while completing missions in any manner you like, which is rare in FPS.

You can be serious and tactical in planning how to infiltrate the thugs's layout..
Using lethal force...simple, easy but no extra rewards and secrets.
Or negotiate and tell the gunmen to drop their weapons to unlock secrets
Or you can throw tear gas at your friends' face!
Just try to avoid tear gas fights around the hostages...or the poor old lady on a walker will dash faster than Usain Bolt!
You might also want to avoid shooting the gas tank.
Yes! This 2005 game allows you to interact with the environment...2005!
So every playthrough can still be refreshing and new.

In every new playthrough, you will never know what the hostages or ... your partners might do.
With custom maps still being created in 2021, the sky's the limit for the fun you can do to your co-op partners!
...I mean teaming together and being good SWAT colleagues of course...

Happy Anniversary GOG! I wish you and Gamemusic to have a blast! (pun intended!)

And if you do choose SWAT 4, please stream it. I would love tune in and see the lovely surprises waiting for GOG around the corner :)

One of my favourite video game memories is trying to play S.W.A.T. 3 on a broken down Pentium II with 4mb of VRAM on an old ATI card soldered to the mainboard.

The tough mission where the terrorists have taken the embassy and your entry point is the roof top and nothing but mayhem is going to ensue.

Stealth entry, just descended one floor, then the elevator doors suddenly opened to reveal a balaclava clad baddie with a mean looking assault rifle and massive game stutter (CPU/GPU induced 'lag') hit. Nearly soiled myself as I spun around mashing the keys to order compliance as held down the mouse button to squeeze the silenced MP5's trigger sure I was toast as the game freeze framed and slide showed.

Then in one sudden rush the screen refreshed, to show the bullet holes of a fully emptied clip, tracing a perfect outline around the terrorist as if I'd stenciled it out, and him dropping his weapon and putting his hands behind his head! I mean it was a perfect outline, like something out of a Police Academy movie...and the terrorist just surrendered XD.

Thanks for explanation. You broke this disturbing silence. That's OK. I'll wait :)

Great. Thanks, I'm not in a hurry, just asked, they are humans after all, they could forget about it.
One month later
"within one week of the Closing Date."

I think it will be better to apply a more realistic time frame to choose the winners, in future contests; since a few contests have lagged like this.
We are sorry for the long delay of this contest! However, we have finally decided on the first place winner: First Place toxicTom
Second Place boulderhead
Third Place Ruvika

Congratulations <3
