Gydion: Whatever you do DON'T TELL US WHAT IT IS.

Lemon_Curry: I'm sorry but I'm not sure what you mean by that. Would you care to explain?
Eh, your video card. Unless you mentioned it here and I missed it?

Lemon_Curry: As NovumZ has generously gifted me the game I now know that it works on my PC.
Excellent, enjoy.

Lemon_Curry: As NovumZ has generously gifted me the game I now know that it works on my PC. I'm thinking it's due to the fact that I've previously installed the DirectX 9 redistributable in order to run Tropico 3.
Whee! Lucky fella!

Yeah, I figured you were being sarcastic about the fact that I failed to mention the name but like I said I wasn't sure and that's because you didn't specify what you meant by 'IT' and only quoted the part about my search and the article. I just didn't want to run the risk of misunderstanding you, that's all. There's been enough miscommunication recently.

It's NVIDIA GeForce 610M (and Intel HD Graphics 4000).

Sure, but the search info sentence was about your GPU. Since it's an Nvidia card: List of Nvidia graphics processing units.

More specifically GeForce 600M (6xxM) Series. I thought they listed the Shader level, but I was thinking of the OpenGL version. That's a DX 11.0 capable card so it supports Shader Model 5.0.

No, it actually wasn't. I've conducted that search previously without getting any helpful results so this time I tried searching for more general advice and information about shader model support and compatibility with this particular game.

Yeah, that's also what I found out when I ran the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and checked the list in the article.

Well if you already knew that then I'm confused about your confusion. Your card supports up to Shader Model 5.0. It's inclusive for the earlier Shader Model versions if that was the part throwing you off.

Exactly, I wasn't sure about that.
