Just wondering if there's any game out there that fits both these defitnitions.

Here's an explanation of what I mean by these genre classifications:

Wizardry-like:
* Game is a first-person grid-based dungeon crawler.
* You create your party in town (as opposed to using pre-made characters); typically this involves choosing a race and class and maybe rolling stats, but not all of this is required.
* There's a safe town area to return to, where you can drop off party members and pick new ones up; this also provides services like a store, a place to rest, and a place where you can revive fallen party members for a fee.
* Combat is modal (in other words, it's on a separate screen) and turn based, with characters entering commands and then executing them.
* Enemies frequently drop items when defeated, which will comprise the majority of your equipment upgrades (or can be sold in town). Games where selling items unlocks others in the shop also count.
* Most encounters respawn or come from an infinite source. In particular, games where there's only a finite number of battles are not Wizardry-likes.
* The main game loop involves going into the dungeon, exploring, fighting enemies for character growth (like experience points) and loot, and then returning to town to rest and sell loot when resources run low or inventory fills up.

SaGa-like:
* This is a bit harder to define, due to the fact that the SaGa series has a lot of diversity.
* One hard rule: Character growth must not be based on levels gained through experience points. (This is the *one* mechanic that differentiates SaGa from other RPGs. Note that this rule would rule out the original SaGa 3, but that particular game doesn't feel like a SaGa game and wasn't directed by the one who directed the rest of the series.)
* There still needs to be character growth, albeit via different mechanics, like having stats increase by use.
* Being able to spark techniques by using normal attacks or other techniques is not required, but is a bonus.
* Should be party-based have modal turn-based combat.

So, any game you're aware of that at least falls close to meeting the requirements of both these categories?

No, because that topic is asking for Wizardry-likes or other "blobbers" or DRPGs. In particular, it doesn't have the criterion that the game be a SaGa-like, and is hence filled with games that use XP-based leveling.

Here, I am asking specifically for Wizardry-likes (as opposed to other types of "blobbers") that also happen to be SaGa-like, with growth systems that *aren't* the overused level/XP system.
