I like to play games in their original 4:3 aspect ratio but anything 4:3 higher than 800x600 has the image slide to the left of the screen. Switching my screen resolution (native 1366x768) manually to 1024x768 does not help. May I ask for any suggestions on how to to center a 1024 image?

Hmm. are you using MSI Afterburner by any chance?

I'm not sure what that is, so I'm going to say no. I have an AMD graphics card.
It's a gpu overclocking and systems telemetry program, but since you didn't know what it is it's safe to say you're not using it.

It seems the game you're trying to play is forcing a borderless window.
There are apps you can try, maybe DXwnd or dgVoodoo2 to force it fullscreen.

It is full screen. No borders. It's just not center. Unless that's what you mean.
Likely a monitor issue of resolution decisions or glitches.

Is this a dosbox game? If so there's an option to add black bars and run at 16:9 but have 4:3 ratio output from that.

Alternatively try to alt+tab to get back to your native resolution and then to back to the game, it may fix itself during resolution changes.
Might be a scaling issue of your monitor then.
Still, dgVoodoo might solve it with the right settings.

No, they're early 2000s 3D games like Red Faction, Iron Storm, Shogo etc.

Early 3DFX before Nvidia bought it out...

If it's happening with multiple games then check your GPU driver settings / control panel. I'm pretty sure AMD have a scaling mode / size / position page as nVidia does. Try selecting something like "Scale on GPU not monitor" + "override game scaling" + full screen aspect ratio, etc.

There were scaling options on an AMD app but they didn't do anything except the one that stretches the screen. Here's an image of my problem.

I can't seem to post a photo of my screen even if it is under 2mb

Upload it on an image hosting website and share the URL here.
Or scale down the image (in Irfanview e.g.) and post it here.
I'm contacting AMD about it.
