Hi,
so using gearcity_enUS_2_0_0_12_.pkg, I cannot install the game. Upon clicking the installer, I get an error message, saying it cannot be executed due to macOS not being able to search for malicious code in the pkg.

How do I best proceed and is it possible for me to install the game anyway?


Edit: I had to install galaxy to get the game to run.

Sorry for the late reply,

Modern MacOS requires various package signatures and checks on Apple's side anytime you download something using Safari (or any browser that uses the same functions as Safari). If a program fails those checks or you have trouble connecting to Apple, MacOS will not let you install the program simply.

To open it, go to the Privacy & Security settings, then click on the Open Anyway button. There are also other ways to install it, such as right-clicking the package or using a terminal.

Galaxy would download the files without using Safari/Apple internals, so the program never gets flagged to be checked by Apple.
