Dunno if it is a commonly occuring glitch or rarelly encountered, but it seems to happen to me every time.

It crashes after the end of the week, before going back to managing.

- If i get past 100 weeks.
- If i kill the last opposing gang leader (no problem with the other two)
- If i am about to win the election (no problem if i lose)
- If i get arrested by FBI (no problem with regular police)
- Didn't try with going straight. (can't seem to meet the requirements)

Sorry for necroing this thread, but I'm currently facing the same problem.

I used to play the game game quite a lot ten years ago and had a CD version that allowed finishing the game (but as time goes by, that CD was lost somewhere).

Now I'm playing the GOG version and I'm running win7. The game works basically fine. Except that it seems that you just can't actually win the game, due to a crash right before winning.


I was doing a speed run to beat the game yesterday, when this happened to me. It is totally repeatable. It's actually quite frustrating...

This is what happened: I bombed the offices of 2 opponents during the third week, in order to get an easier mid game (spotting enemy HQs in week 1 is way too easy... and when you get a 5 star intelligence / intimidation hood in your starting crew, hiring enough guys to pull this off works fine... I had ~25 hoods in week 3).

During week 5 the power percentages were ~ 80% me vs. 20% for the remaining opponent. Then, after week 5 finishes, the game just crashed, regardless what orders I gave at the beginning of the week. My guess is, that the game was won at that point and the game is missing the files for the winning screen.



Is there a fix for this?
