Hi,
I've just bought Gabriel Knight 1 and the game runs flawlessy - except for the intro movie, which plays in a really tiny screen. It's not a big deal, but I would like to know if there isn't a way to make the screen larger during the intro.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think so. If I'm correct dos version of game plays intro (and other cutscenes) in such a tiny screen. Windows version has better music and added sound effects, but i don't know if it playes it in higer resolution.
You can change the size of the video in options, small and large. The large one is approximately twice the size of the small one, and interlaced. But that's it.
Hi, sorry for the late reply,
Minya, I haven't found any video resizing options in the game... Oh, and by the way, when I said "intro movie", I meant Gabriel's nightmare movie, the one that plays after a day is over.

Anyway, thanks for the help, and if someone knows how to fix it, I'll be very glad.
Sorry, my brain thought you talked about GK2 XD
But in GK1, the nightmare-videos are always that small.
You may change the general resoloution on the game, but the video won't become much bigger than it is in the larger ones. It's just how it is.
Hi, sorry for reactivating this after years...

I played GK1 on a 32bit WinXP-System some time ago, using Enrico Rolfis XP installer.

Actually, the intro video was displayed in a much more satisfying size in that version without any trouble. I discarded Sierra's dosbox installer back then for exactly that reason. Using a custom desktop resolution of 640x480, everything worked exactly as it should.

The size differences between the fullscreen title sequence and the tiny intro movie in dosbox/gog - versions really destroy the strong mood of that sequence IMHO. I'm not sure whether other videos repeat that annoyance later within the game.

It would be very nice to have this issue fixed on a further GOG update of GK1, as I am already on Win10 by now...
Maybe there is a way to patch the XP installer to run on 64bit systems...? Or to copy/paste some of the XP installer's features onto the dosbox vs.?
