I bought GK1 some time ago and I have not had any problems until now.

The game crashes whenever I click on the "restore" button.

I have no idea why this is happening, I appreciate any help I can get.

Actually, I got the same issue as well 2 days ago. I noticed there was a patch on the sierra site that might fix this issue, but I would have assumed gog already included it in their release. Do I need to install that patch or is there some other, better solution to our issue?

I have also seen that patch but I assumed (just like you) that GOG would have included it in their release.

I think your savegames will be affected if you install the patch, meaning that you can't restore the saves you had before the patch was installed :(

I still have no idea what to do about this problem.
