So I've been trying to resolve an issue with the graphics in FS2. After the intro and throughout the game, the graphics ghost and flicker. If you move the cursor, there is an image of the cursor that hangs while another image moves with the actions of the mouse. The main screen ghosts and flickers terribly; especially when animations like the elevator or the doors to the briefing room open. Starting a campaign, the mission briefings do the same. And when in flight, the screen flickers, ghosts, and sometimes disappears. I've also experienced a game crash.

I had similar experiences with FS1, but fixed it using nGlide.

If someone has a solution to this issue, please let me know. Here are the specs on my PC:

Windows XP 32 bit SP3
Intel P4 at 3 Ghz
4 GB of RAM
NVidia GeForce 6200

You could try installing ? (Guide to installation [url=http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Installing_FreeSpace_2_Open]here. The MediaVPs might negatively affect performance if you play at a high resolution)
Apologies for not replying back. Just recently built a new PC with Windows 7 64 bit and an AMD video card. Both Freespace 1 and 2 work fine with the new system. Having a different problem however. See latest topic regarding graphics and LOTR 1 (CD version) and 2.
