So, been going back through the GoldBox series for the mems and while doing Curse I came upon, what I call, an anomaly. The ruins that are associated with Teshwave are NOT the ruins shown in the clue book nor on any walkthrough on the net that I can find. What made me look was the way the doors behave. They are basically teleporters which move you through the map. I'm sure there is a way to get through all of the map, and I've been working on the triggers which change the normal pattern of the doors. After a couple of days of frustration I decided to take a look at a walkthrough to see how it was done. Image my surprise when I see the map I am seeing is totally different from the map in ANY walkthrough online, anywhere, any version. Here is the map as I have it mapped using GBC.
As to why I would even care, I am one of those guys who like to comb every inch of a dungeon until it is picked clean. I try to leave no stone unturned on any map I come across. What's funny is that I was looking for an answer to my question, I came across a person who got the advice to "not map every square of Yulash because it was a war zone. I mapped every square, same for the Pit of Moander.
A few explanations about the map, each "section" is separate from the others, completely cut off from any other section except for the "doors" although some of them are just openings in the wall. If using "Look" or "Search" just about every step you will find a "way out" which if taken will take you to the wilderness. That's the only way out of the trap room as far as I can tell.
The side the number is on is the side you go into or out of in the sequence.
