jamesjeb: I would love to see a new Unlimited Adventures. The Gold Box Games were some of my favourite RPG’s back in the day and I think it would be great to have a newer version that doesn’t have all the limitations of the original. I’d recreate the Pools of Radiance campaign to show off the game. There are lots of improvements that could be made, such as different modules for Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Buck Rogers, etc.
If you could import the modules from the original that would be awesome, but even without it I think it would be great. Would anyone else like to see a new Unlimited Adventures, and if so what improvements would you like them to make?
I don't know if you're still interested in this thread, more than two months later, but I seldom check the game specific forums and only saw your posts now ...
Do you know about about
Dungeon Craft? It's actually much closer to Unlimited Adventures than Iceblink, in fact it started as a project to recreate UA for Windows and introduce more flexibility with regard to customization, easier importing of graphics etc. Sadly, it's just a hobby project and I think over 10 years in the making now. If you're interested in this project or have any suggestions on what to add or improve, the few but dedicated people over at the
Unlimited Adventures and Dungeon Craft forums are very nice and I'm sure they would welcome your input and help you with any questions.
Also, I'm not sure but this quote of yours

kind of sounds like you don't know about
hacked modules yet? Just checking, because there actually are Dragonlance and Buck Rogers modules for the old UA, among others. But you're right in that they are few and to my knowledge even with hacks the engine doesn't fully allow to do everything the original Dragonlance or Buck Rogers engines allowed.
EDIT: I addressed the wrong poster at first, hopefully it's fixed now.
