Hi Guys,

Created a party, did a bit of adventuring and then decided to swap a character for testing purposes

Removed the character from the party so I could add him later on
Added another character
Found that my previous setup was beter, and wanted to re-add the old character

When trying to add him, I get a "Put save disk in C:" prompt.

Gmae is installed on my C: drive so makes sense but how do I "put the save disk" there?

Or alternately, can I give my PC the path to this save directory so it can be handles.

Or is this just sadly a feature that is not possibvle to do on an amulated version?

hope you can find the golden answer I'm looking for.
okay, so there's a couple things. first if it's asking for a disk, that character file (.cha in /poolrad/) is probably gone, and you should remove the name from the charlist.txt file in /poolrad/.

if you have him in a save game, you can load that game, remove him, begin adventuring, and just click the X in the upper right to close dosbox. he'll then be in the character list again and you can add him where ever.

in por if you load a game that has characters in your add character list, it automatically removes them from that list when you begin adventuring with them, so it's important to either remove them again or save the game before closing dosbox so they continue to exist the next time you run it.

you can see this in action if you remove a character you have in a saved game, load that saved game and hit add character, you'll notice guys in your party already have a * next to them in the add list, and when you begin adventuring, they'll be removed from there, and it removes their .cha file too i believe (but if you drop a character, it removes them from charlist.txt but leaves the .cha if i recall).

anyways, make sure you don't close dosbox with characters that aren't saved or removed back into the character list, or bad things happen.
