Seriously does anyone know how to solve this issue? Mice flat out do not work on this game.

Things you could try and I am just guessing here:
* Turn off enhance mouse pointer precision in Windows settings (if on Windows). This one is a problem for quite a few games.
* Cap your frame rates to 60F/s.
* Lower your mouse's sensitivity to something like 1600dpi.
* Lower your resolution to no more than 1920*1200 maximum.
* Move your mouse to another port.
Do you get into the game just fine but for the mouse not doing anything?

Reminds me of how my mouse is super slow (unusably so) in the UEFI settings.
