Hi guys - just wondering if anyone else is getting the colour problem in the FMV sequences? There used to be a patch called the fl_HighColour patch for windows 6+ - is this still compatible with the GOG pack? If not, will there be a fix?

Additional info - I installed the Bink & Smacker Rad tools, as per the solution way back when, but no go. i can pull the movie files from the install folder and play them in the smacker video tools; colours intact etc, but in game they will not function. I seem to remember a fix where you replace the smacker player in the install folder with a newer version and rename it to the original SMKPLYR - I'll give it a crack and report back.

Nope - didn't work. Next?!

It appears to be still compatible, cf http://www.gog.com/forum/final_liberation_warhammer_epic_40000/fyi_for_xp_users/post6

What about replacing SMACKW32.DLL with an updated version along with that?

ReverendRyu, there's also a copy of the SMACKPLY.exe file in the Videos directory. Did you replace that one as well?
Hi guys, sorry for the long time between updates. The Smackplayer in the video folder was the one I was replacing, and I have now also replaced the smackplayer in the main folder too. this hasn't helped.

Regarding SmackW32.dll, I cannot find a newer/different version online other than the regular smackw32.dll supplied with the player itself, which seems to be identical to the one supplied with Final Liberation. If I'm wrong, please correct me!

The Fifth Horseman's recommended link works. I can't post the link but, dude, how right you are. This solved my problem immediately. For anyone else who has this issue, the link the fix is above. Just point the installer at the epic40k.exe in your gog directory, and away you go.
