Hey, I've been playing this game for a bit, really hard, but super rewarding, but I'm having trouble with the first hardcore combo of Gal's black belt training. Is it supposed to teach me the ability to bounce between enemies with the air kick, or am I just missing something? If it is bouncing between enemies, then how am I supposed to do it with a single training dummy? Thanks for making such a wonderfully challenging and rewarding game, but this part just has me absolutely stumped.

Well, I've mained Ricardo but I've tried Gal's blackbelt challenge a couple of times (which I failed at one of the last combos due to me being rather slow and used to Ricardo, so transition to Gal was quite brutal speed-wise).

However the bouncing is performed from flying attack (I think it's an airkick). So you jump diagonally into the enemy and when you are inside its hitbox but already quite low you hit the attack to perform the airkick. Try to attack on the last possible moment, right before you would otherwise land behind the enemy. When you hit it you press back direction, then you follow up with kick right again and hit backward once the attack connects. So it would resemble left-right air juggle kinda.

I remember that trick for this challenge was to just jump beyond the enemy and let Gal drop low before performing the airkick, as if you tried to sorta overshoot the enemy.

Good luck!

Okay, that makes plenty of sense. I took a break from Gal's training mode to take a swing at Ricardo and Norris, and yeah, Gal's got a much smaller window when it comes to some of her combos, but I enjoy the speed and the spinning kick stuff you can do with her. I'll try and see if I can get the first part of hers down, but thanks for the advice my man!
