Changelog for Update 1.5.4 (added 15 July 2019):

We are happy to announce that we are not using mp3 sound system anymore , and we are using ogg right now. So if you have a issue with crashing the game this version should fix it.


Standalone installer updated: 16 July 2019.
Standalone installer further updated to 1.5.5: 24 July 2019.

Will you still fix the issue that there is a pause in dialogue (while the characters keep talking silent) whenever you try to skip dialogue?

We published version 1.7.2 that added a voice volume slide bar, and fixed pause after cut the dialog, and texts that disappear quickly, enjoy!

Thank you so much, Gualbert. You know how much I waited for this issue (pause after skipping dialogue) to be fixed and I am glad that you guys obviously managed to fix this (did not test it yet but I will ;)). Let me please tell me how great it is to see a publisher/developer constantly updating their games on GOG as well and also replying to requests. I really love to support such behavior and therefore already purchased "The Westerner" today as well. Thank you for bringing it here and don't forget to release the last Fenimore game here on GOG as well whenever it is ready to be released.

Just downloaded this game. Will not install says (D3DCOMPILER_43.dll ) not found. Tried installing again. No luck.
I have DirectX 12.

Win10 Pro ver 1909- All the latest drivers etc. High end Alienware gaming PC.
What is this file it cannot find?

SOLVED!
Went to: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
to get to the Download DirectX end-user runtime web installer

Game loads now.

Hi mommaopps, we are very sorry to hear that, we update the version 19.3 and stop using d3dcompiler_43.dll, so you dont need to install directx if you have Window 8 and 10.

We updated Fenimore Fillmore: The Westerner to the version 1.9.3 that fix few issues:
a) The game doesn't launch with a message error 0x887A003
b) Removed Directx D3DCOMPILER_43.dll dependences.
c) Crash in certain case doing the duels
