JABBA69R: Just reinstalled the game from my GOG account but when I launch the .exe file nothing happens, I check task manager and it shows it's using 0% system resources, tried and tested using all compatibility settings to fix this issue and nothing worked, also ran as a administrator and still nothing, having the same issue with the steam edition of F.E.A.R. also

encase anyone asks could it be my specs here is my system list

O.S Windows 11 - 64bit
CPU Intel core i7-7700 3.60Ghz
GPU RTX 3060ti 4GB Vram
32GB DDR4 Ram
1TB SSD - OS
2TB SSD - games
8TB HDD - Media backup

starting to wonder if windows 11 is the source of my pain with some of these older titles.

migxeloxxx: I have the same problem and havent been able to solve it, Ive tried everything and nothing seems to work

ZocomMAX: Question, are you running windows 11 with a CPU that is not 8th gen and higher? Cause I am on current 11 with latest updates and it does run for me.

Keycow: Similar problem, game would toggle full screen, but would instantly not respond only showing a black screen. Fixed it by doing the following:
Gog Settings (button right of play) -> Manage installation -> Show folder -> right click FEAR executable/application -> Compatibility -> Disable Fullscreen Optimizations -> Apply.

Seems kinda obvious, but I didn't know my computer did that, and now I'm questioning some of the other games I couldn't run. This might help someone else, idk, it seems like a mostly "me" problem though.
