The mouse lag on FC2 is making the game unplayable. This is really frustrating! Can anyone help? Thanks.

Some people suggest entering this console command:
"gfx_maxfps 30"
That limits the frames per second to 30.
Some people recommend lowering graphics settings.
Other people suggest changing the mouse speed and smoothness options.
Some people only notice the mouse lag in the menu.
I stopped playing the game a while ago because I couldn't toggle the iron sights.
