Between my bug in Trine, GTA4 in Steam and this, I'm having a really bad gaming streak.

Downloaded FC2 via Galaxy. When I launch it I just have the windowed FC2 logo appear on the screen as if it's loading, and then absolutely nothing. Not even a black screen. I reinstalled, verified, still nothing. Not running in the background either.

Ideas?

Heya,

I got also same problem like you, exactly same. It started after last update of this game which added in game overlay in galaxy client as some french localization... Any help will be appreciated...

Deactivate the in-game overlay from Settings or use the DirectX 9 renderer.

For me solution was simple

I launched the game direvtly via .exe and dropped using Galaxy.

I Will suggest you to download Far Cry Primal by 2k games.

I did encountered similar problem. When I tried to launch FarCry2 I got error missing some of directx9 libraries

I overcome this obstacle by installing DirectX redist 2010 from microsoft support download

Upon installing directX redist the problem was solved.

Just download and install DirectX9 from Microsoft.com. After downloading you need to unpack then install, This even if you have a later version of DirectX on your machine! That Galaxy thing probably once again did not help you.
