That's the error I always get, when closing FarCry (no CTD). Problem is: My keyboard isn't recognized at all, thus I cannot reassign keys nor move Jack at all. I once had that game and I do remember that I absolutely played it with this keyboad I'm currently writing with (never changed it since 2001). It's an old Cherry Keyboard - pretty much standard design and cabled.
Graphics seem to be somehow corrupted (kinda blurry) if put on super-high level as far as I can tell from the opening video in the main menu (on top of it graphics seem way too bright). Loading times are shockingly long (it took 3 full minutes for the game to load the very first level after the intro) where I wasn't able to move as I already said. Apart from all that the mouse works better than in other games (as I can assign my thumb buttons in the configs :D)
Still: That game is unplayable for me.
I'm playing on Windows 7 (32), I5 Quad Core, 4GB RAM, GeForce 9600GSO
I already tried to install the Unofficial patch 1.5. When that didn't work I reinstalled the whole game and even tried to start in lowest setting, in Admin Mode and with XP+SP3 compatibility.
Any other suggestions? 'Cause I couldn't find any hints on the net about this.

Very strange ... without doing anything different I started the whole game again and changed all graphical settings ingame instead of using that offgame settings.exe
What can I say? Almost none of those settings were put into actual gameplay and after changing everything ingame (to super high) the game looks as awesome as it should and I even can reconfigure my keyboard. Those Critical Exception Errors didn't show up since then as well. Perhaps that offgame configuration file is broken?!

Sorry to necro this but I just got the game and I get the "critical exception" everytime I exit the game. It's pretty minor as it doesn't effect the game play but just shows up when I exit. Is there any way I can can get rid of it and if not is there any reason I should be worried about it?
