ERISS: Could it be included in all versions?

PaterAlf: I'm not a member of the GOG staff, so I can't tell you. I don't know if a French and German translation of this add-on even exists. I think your best bet is to contact support and ask them about it.
If I can get a German version of that warning I can add both the French an German versions :)

Fixed :)

ERISS: Log is changed, but still not the installers (french is still 2.0.0.2, not .3). It seems I've not been read:
https://www.gog.com/forum/fantasy_general/changelog/post5
So the french new log is false, I had made it for a new french version installer including the english add-on.
We added this add-on to the English version only and there have been no changes made to the French or German versions of the game unless I am mistaking what you are trying to say?

Gydion: Believe you are. They wanted the English only add-on to be installed with the French and German versions with the warning that the add-on itself is English only. Currently, the only way to access the add-on content is to also install the English version of the game. No idea if the add-on behaves well with the localized versions anyway...
If it was installed with the other versions then it would change them into English and, thus, it would render them useless for those who wish to play a non-English version of the game.

ERISS: The problem as changed! It can't be just played, or it can't be installed????

PaterAlf: Changelog for 21.05.2015 (GOG-3):
- Warning: Any attempts to use the "Island Challenge" add-on with the French or German version will result in those versions becoming English!

ERISS:
It can be played and installed and it already comes with the English version and only the English version since it makes non-English versions, well, English :/

Basically, think of it as if you had a French version of a game and then you went applied an update that was meant for the English version: the game is updated and it works but it's no longer in French.

Gydion: So, ill-behaved with localized versions. Guess it was never localized to other languages?

Unrelated, but have you guys thought about adding some of the German only expansions for the Settlers' games? Assuming you could distribute them worldwide.
I guess it wasn't judging by how rare and seemingly undocumented this add-on was.

As for the second part of your post, not sure as I don't make those decisions :)

ERISS: But players say it installs in a different folder (it replace almost no files from base game),
so I thought that, if the add-on is installed, but we don't launch the add-on, then it didn't change the base game.
I thought that it was not installing it which change the game, but using/launching/playing the add-on.
Nope, installing it changes the game to English as it pins itself just under the main campaign in the Main Menu :)
