So I don't understand this.

The requirements states that integrated graphics are not supported.

However, for Fallout NV I can play the game on Intel Integrated graphics 520 and above. Granted this is on Steam, but considering that Fallout 3 came out long ago why doesn't this game run on integrated graphics?

If it does run on integrated graphics, can someone let me know if it runs on 520.

Lots of old games have issues with Intel IGPs.

Back when these games were developed Intel IGP were not supported because they were too pitiful to work. There isn't going to be a big effort in redeveloping old games to support IGP.

There may be hacks out there that might get it to work.

Indeed, when Fallout 3 was in development, Intel graphics was not worth considering for 3D. Intel improved a lot since.
