I did volunteer to clean up some area of Zurich (aka salvaging junk).
And the availability of resources is not as high as Bethesda would let us think. In particular Bottle Caps are not to be found in that amount.
90% of the items I picked up was remains of cigarettes.

That makes me think about the resource situation in the post nuclear wasteland.

Cigarettes are worth picking up! They sell for quite good amount of caps! >:-]

I remember in my youth, there were much more bottle caps lying around as drinks were usually sold in bottles and not cans like now. Things change.

We're also running low on CRTs and there are not nearly enough plasma rifles around.

All the plasma rifles I've found are either replicas, or I don't have the appropriate skill to use them. I think I've found ammo for them, but I don't know where to plug them in :(

The only Fatman I've found just stares at me from the mirror too.

Nobody bothers with plasma when fireaxe is way more effective. It also costs more than plasma rifle, should you consider selling it...
