Does anyone know if its possible to detonate mines by shooting them in fallout tactics?
I was playing the third mission yesterday and had a group of 3 enemies patrolling around and they spotted the body of a guy I killed close to a mine. They came rushing over and were all close to the mine so instead of attacking the guys, I got my team to open up on the mine in the hopes of detonating it but it seemed to not explode.
No matter how much I fired on the mines, they never blew up. The target showed a 75% chance to hit and with 5 people firing twice each at it, I'm sure I hit at least once. Has anyone managed to detonate mines with small arms or am I just wasting my ammo trying?

You can't, at least not with firearms, I believe they may be detonated with other explosives (such as grenades) so you might try that.
Yeah that seems to be right, thanks. I was hoping to not waste grenades especially since my team have weak little girly arms and can't throw very far, often getting caught in the blast radius of their own grenades...
Some time since I've played it. But I'm pretty sure that you only have a chance with burst weapons. Though I could be wrong.
eye nixon is wrong, you can detonate mines with firearms, but it takes few more hits with "one bullet" weapons, best are shotguns and then burst weapons, looks like mines have some damage treshold to detonate, but it is posible with guns.
