So i have fallout 1 and it seems that no matter what I do whenever i mouse over anything it does one of two things. It either simply says YOU or when I go to inspect something it only says the first word like THIS or THE. anyone know why?

1) GOG.com version of Fallout, CD version, or from an unknown source?
2) Any mods installed? This would include mods suggested by the GOG forums or staff.
3) What OS are you using?
4) Done anything odd to your computer lately?

its a CD version
only mod I have is a HD rez one to fix the colours
im using windows 7
nothing else, i will supply a screenshot at a later date

Again just covering the basics, have you tried to see if it does this without mods?

Which version? This is a known bug in v3.0.4 of the res patch. Either drop back to 3.0.3, wait for a fixed version, or try disabling the wider interface bar option (or enabling it, if you already have it disabled,) and see if that helps.
