Hello,
question about Fallout 4 Goty (I do not find how to edit the subject title :/ )
can someone with Azerty keyboard confirm wheter we can set the movement to ZSQD ?

Few years ago, while I could remap the keys there were not saved (so had to remap at each start - I refunded).
So I have some hope that since then they solved that problem or eventually that the GoG version does not have that problem.

You can remap the keys. Once you do so, if you notice that they revert back to original settings, then make the change again and alt-tab to windows explorer and make the file %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Fallout4Prefs.ini read-only to stop the game from changing the settings back.

More info can be found here: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Fallout_4#Game_data
Thanks for the info.
I'm quite sure that user profile directory was not in read only (I think that's one of the things I checked at the time with the steam version).
I may give it a try at once, GoG has a quite nice refund practice, but that would be better if someone with azerty keyboard could confirm it is actually working.
Maybe cannot confirm as definitively as you're asking for, but I can confirm that very few keys are not remappable, and can confirm all movements are. I can also confirm that when you change the key a function is mapped to over to a key already used, it will just switch the mapping. Because of that, you'll want to look through the entire list of controls to make sure they're set to your liking. (Will probably take a few tries to get a setup you really like.) There will be absolutely no other issues that prevent it, as none of those keys are reserved for anything, though I think Q is by default bound to something else. Even it can be changed though.

Also, if your keyboard does not have the `/~ {tilde) key next to the 1, that is NOT mappable, and you'll want to search Nexus for Console Enable for non English Keyboards. That will let you define another key as your console key.
Thanks for the feedback.

The main concern is specifically with the Z key actually.
Not the only one of course, A also may pose problems, but I remember the Z key was mentioned to be hard coded for some "modes" or in some circumstances.

I haven't noted the Z key being hardcoded for anything. I don't recall if it even does anything by default. As far as I know, only the tilde and the ESC key are hard coded.

Now some PIPBoy functions are coded with other actions, and those functions will move to the new key that action was changed to. But that won't really be any real issue, that's mostly the directional movements anyway.
Great, thanks :)
Finally bought the game.

While ZSQD is working for movement, and saved during 2 starts of the game (which was not the case with the steam version),
* As soon as I setup Z key to "Forward", I could not use the neither Z nor W to navigate up in the menu. So definetly something is hard coded there (works with cursor keys and mouse wheel still)
* ZSQD does not work for the mini game (works with cursor keys).

The base building ignores key remaps
That's one thing I remembered, but never got that far.
I hope it is not a too bad thing.
Pip boy as well, Q & D are supposed to navigate tabs, D works but not Q.
So perhaps this might help further?

Key Remapping Done Proper

Haven't tried it yet, but maybe it will help solve the other issues.
