I wanted to join the Brotherhood of steel, but after I was told that the area I was going in was radioactive and I had no rad-aways I declined. Now when I talk to the guy he says 'go away, I thnk you're lying'. Is there any way to get in after this?

yeah, there is. i've mentioned it in another thread. basically, you can pick the lock with an electronic lockpick. you can get one by completing the thieves guild quest.

i'm not 100% sure... but i think so. i never completed the glow quest, just picked the lock and went in. everyone i talked to referred to me as the "new initiate." i even convinced the BoS top brass to send some brothers to the military base with me for an attack (though, they didn't show up. it could've been that the offer was time-based. i took a lot of time going to the military base after receiving the offer to complete other quests).
