One of the true GoG, if youre old school gamer this is somethiong you will enjoy.
It has (almost) everything. But to make things easy lets break it down.
* Gameplay
This is a part Fallout was renown for. When out of combat it would be realtime and when you get up close it would turn into a well executed grid-effect combat. Unless ofcourse you preffered killing from a distance, then you could switch to combat yourself.
The Character you played could always be unique du to S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
Strength - Carry more and unarmed combat
Perception - What it says :D
Endurance - Take more damage
Charisma - Effectively charm people (You can even avoid the last boss!)
Intelligence - DUH!?
Agillity - Acuracy and action points would be distrubed according to how much you set in this
Luck - Everything in between, and even some crazy random events would pop up from time to time
Then ofcourse there are alot of skills inbetween like
computer, science, sneak, small guns, big guns and more
But different from everyone other RPG Fallout offers some perks, litterly it does. These are gained every second level and will dramaticly change your character. unless you take blody mess... thats just for fun (ALOT of fun)
'Graphics
They are way beyond their time, the 2D is amazing, even graphic whores and new gen will enjoy this.
Every place from The Necropolis to The Chapel is buiteful!
Not much diversity in armor but the game itself make up for it.
*Story
The story is exelent written and masterful executed (in comparison to Fallout 2).
I wont say too much here since its just that great.
*conclusion
A game everybody with a little Rpg in them can enjoy. It has everything Rpg's lack in these days, A great story with a good plot, a creative way of doing things, and great looking graphics. The character sheet is well made (since its orgininally a G.U.R.P. game) It can be played in a million different ways, Evil? Good? neutral? Bad ass big-gun-carrying-motherfucker? A game thats a honor having on the shelf and what if you dont have this in your retro shelf yet?
