I recently got a new PC and I can't seem to get New Vegas or Fallout 3 to run on it. Oblivion and Skyrim seem to run fine so far. It's not that it's crashing or anything, it simply won't open at all. The launcher comes up, I click "play" and I get a (0xc000007b) error. This happens on both Steam and GOG copies of the games. I have tried everything I could find online. Literally everything. My Direct X packages are fine, drivers are up to date, Windows is up to date, run everything as administrator, checked compatibility, checked my .NET files, ran a number of tests on my SSD and nothing has worked. I have no idea if anyone has any idea how to fix this, but I would really love to be able to play this game again. If you have anything for me, anything at all I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Try installing different C++ redistributables. The post below seems to fix the same error but you probably already tried this:

Yeah I have been trying fixes for this game for so long and have tried so many things I couldn't remember to list everything I have tried exactly. I have tried reinstalling C++ redistributables and I didn't get anywhere with it.
Yeah that sucks. If I have problems like this I just do a clean reinstall of Windows. But I'm only using Windows for gaming so for me a reinstall is no big loss.
