Fallout 2 works w/o problems, but Fallout is slow. More like a diashow when trying to play. Help would be appreciated
Specs:

It already have been discussed on the forum. :)
Try to remove ddraw.dll from your Fallout folder.
Oh, thx! Tried to find but didin't. Okay, problem solved!
Fallout funs really slow for me and the stated solution doesn't work for me.
Removing ddraw.dll on my Mac OS X 10.6.8 (2.3 GHz, 4 GB Memory) kills the games colors, the entire screen is a rainbow of colors all staticy after removing that file.
I get the same problem: Fallout runs at about half speed. Removing ddraw.dll makes it impossible to play: the intro videos run, but then the screen goes green and refuses to refresh.

EDIT: Fixed my problem! Out of curiosity I installed this hi-res patch everyone's talking about. When I enabled it and selected Direct X instead of Direct Draw, the slow down went away instantly.
