I just happen to believe the OP is well aware how unlikely the idea is, so your serious reply makes it seem like it went right over your head.
That said, I don't think Bethesda has much of a problem with abandoning DRM. Their real problem seems to be a hatred for PC gamers and customer support. By limiting themselves to just one platform via PC, namely Steam, they make PC sales more predictable and severely cut down support costs by not having to make separate (DRM free) builds and maintaining customer support for the various versions. They basically see it like this: There are Xboxes, Playstations and PCs (meaning Steam), anything beyond this is too risky and probably too costly.
In an ideal world for Bethesda, everyone would buy a console and development costs and future support needs are cut drastically.
