Hi all,

I've seen a few topics on the same issue here but none of the fixes recommended have worked for me so far. I'm getting the display issue for F2 in Windows 7 64bit, using a widescreen monitor and an AMD HD6670 GPU. For clarification I have tried the following fixes :-

1. Opening up the advanced settings for screen resolution and running the game.
2. Running/Installing the game as Administrator.
3. Ran the game in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP3/Windows 98.
4. Installed DirectX 9.0C direct from Microsoft.
5. Installed the Fallout 2 Restoration Project Version 2.2, including the Hi Rez patch.

So far no joy, still loading up with extremely odd colour scheme. Any suggestions? Loved this game back in the day, would very much like to get things working properly.

Ah, fixed it. For anyone having the same issue, here's how to sort it.

1, Download and install the Fallout 2 Restoration Project 2.2.
2. Go to your Fallout 2 installation directory, and look for the program titled f2_Res_Config, run it.
3. Set the graphics mode to DirectX 9 the resolution to whatever you wish and the colours to 32 Bit.
4. War.....war never changes. Happy gaming. :)
