So now that I have Fallout 2 here, too, I installed the latest Restoration Project version (2.2) and started a game. Now I noticed that in my home village, Arroyo, there is a character named Lucas who is supposed to give me a boost in unarmed skill but instead he gives me three points of perception! Nowhere can I find something about this, everywhere it just says that he gives training in unarmed combat.
Does anyone know anything about this?

These are my character's stats:

I would like to know if this is a bug or something which is introduced by the RP or the included unofficial patch. I find it strange to get such a huge stat boost right at the beginning of the game.
I couldn't find anything relating to this online. Having only played the standard version myself, I believe it probably has something to do with the patch.

No Mutants Allowed might be able to help as a better resource since they have most of the patches for the Fallout games (and mods) on their site.

According to my math you should have 48 total stat points considering your traits. Your current stats leave 3 unspent, are you sure enough time didn't pass for the effects of healing powder to no longer damage your perception?

5*7 = 35 base points + 5 unspent = 40, Small frame effectively adds 1 and gifted adds 7, this totals to 48.
Your stat total = 45.

Every time you use 1 healing powder you temporarily lose 1 perception. My guess is you used 3 healing powder earlier, trained with Lucas and their de-buff on your perception wore off while training which let you see 3 perception increases?

Oh, yes that was it... I was confused because I tested it twice and obviously I forgot that I already had Perception at 7 (don't know why). Well, it has been a long time since I played FO2 so I forgot about the side effects of healing powder.

So thanks, this was really helpful!
