I am currently playing the game on Linux Mint using Wine.

When I destroy the Military Base and exit to world map, the game freezes in the beginning of the video.

What to do?

Does this crash occur in Windows or just Linux? Wine has to translate DirectX calls to OpenGL ones, and unfortunately this simply doesn't work well in quite a few titles. Blame Microsoft for locking DirectX to Windows and making it the de facto graphical API.

As you're using an unsupported platform, I'm not sure GOG can help you here. Wasteland is the only related game that will have native Linux support.
