I am having a problem with fall out 2, I downloaded it with Gog downloader and even used the patch suggested with the other forum but it still says it looks like this application did not exit correctly if your system stopped working normally click yes for recovery mod. I hit yes and nothing happens I tired the patch and nothing happens. Help please

Okay, I would like a link to the patch you are referring to and a screenshot or a clearer explanation on your issue.

When you try to launch the game it crashes?
When you try closing out it gives you an error?

Yup I was just about to go to bed so I won't be able to help you further if this doesn't work, I recommend a complete uninstall followed by a fresh install of Fallout 2 (Open the folder it was installed to and make sure it is empty, fan patches leave files behind after an uninstall.)

Install EITHER of these in the download section (The windows installers would be easiest)

The top one is the normal fan patch

The bottom one is the restoration pack which adds and restores content which was originally cut.

(Again do not install both)

Yes the restoration pack includes everything in his unofficial patch.

nope did not work so I am back at square one, and uninstalling and re-installing did not work.
