Can confirm NVSE works properly. Using the latest stable version from the NVSE site curiously labeled as nvse_5_0_beta2.7z.

Not using Galaxy. Using ENBoost in borderless window mode and so far all mods work perfectly fine.

Zanderat: If you want full functionality from NVSE, DO NOT LAUNCH IT THROUGH GALAXY. Use nvse_loader.exe instead.
YES! This worked for me 100%, thank you!

austen1000: I know GOG staff says NVSE works, but, from what I heard, NVSE does not check the exe quite like FOSE does for Fallout 3. Combined with the changes made to the GOG exe, I must ask if NVSE actually functions properly.
worked perfectly for me.

don't follow the instructions in the nvse file, put the extracted files into: C:\GOG Games\Fallout New Vegas

They're just visibly formatted wrong.

Thanks, sorry didn't notice it was just a format issue. duh on me.
Just installed NVSE into my game.

Found out the hard way that NVSE beta version 5.0b3 is NOT compatible with the GOG version of FONV. CTD during chargen inside Doc Mitchell's house.

I initially launched the game without NVSE installed.
I completed all the tests and assigned my SPECIAL points, Doc walked to his front door, I made a manual save point, then quit the game.
I installed NVSE beta version 5.0b3, relaunched the game using NVSE via FOMM, loaded my save and then walked to Doc, got the chargen completion gear, and Doc started to walk past me. Immediate CTD.
Double checked things by relaunching the game through FOMM and reloading the save, same result.
Triple checked by directly launching the NVSE_Loader.exe, and same result.

So I figured it'd be worth it to downgrade NVSE and see if that works.
NVSE beta version 5.0b2 at least gets through chargen without CTD.

To test beta version 5.0b2, I relaunched the game using NVSE via FOMM, loaded my save and then walked to Doc, got the chargen completion gear, and Doc started to walk past me. No CTD.
I double checked things by launching the game directly via the NVSE_Loader.exe, and no CTD.

If you have installed beta version 5.0b3 then you simply overwrite it with beta version 5.0b2 and you're pretty well good to go.
As a basic safeguard, don't load a save that was made while you had beta version 5.0b3 installed.
Hope this helps

edit: fix typo

I get a CTD at game launch using NVSE 5.0b3, but this is after I installed Tale of Two Wastelands.
edit: CTD with 5.0b2 as well. These are both on Win 10 64 Pro

I'm running Win7 Home Premium 32bit here.
I'm not using a pile of mods, yet, and I don't currently have plans to add TTW to my game.
Maybe that's why 5.0b2 seems stable for me.
