I went on the computer today to play Fallout. When I got on it said "Cannot load game file" or something of that sort. I looked in the file where all the save "stuff" is and I was wondering if there's a way to set it back to one of those files or do I just have to restart?

Have you installed some non official patch? My savegames became corrupted after installing the TeamX patch 1.3.4. I had no problem using the 1.2.4 version.
If your problem is related to patches just save your savegames, reinstall fallout and copy your savegames in the correct location. Everything will run fine (I hope)
