We've cleared the Camelot keep and the courtyard, then went haring off to take out the encampment of Tommies outside Camelot.

Afterwards, a messenger arrives and Arthur says the northern encampment has gone quiet, so I need to check it out.

When the messenger arrives, the game takes control of the camera, and then doesn't release it after Arthur tells me about the encampment.

I'm basically stuck there, with the camera just floating slightly behind my character model, unable to open the Atta-boy or move or interact with anything. All I can do is access the main menu.

Anyone else experienced this, and found a way past?

No, sadly. Just went back to an earlier save and am off doing other stuff while waiting for a fix...
